WHAT IS TALLOW?
Tallow is known to effectively moisturize and protect the skin without clogging pores. Additionally, tallow is rich in essential fatty acids, such as stearic and oleic acids, which nourish the skin. Its natural content of vitamins A, D, E, and K further contributes to its soothing and skin loving properties, making it a cherished ingredient in a variety of skincare formulations.
Our beef tallow is rendered from certified beef suet. Suet is the top quality fat from around the kidneys. It differs from the lower quality trim, and muscle fat that is found in most tallow products on the market today.

Authentic Body And Soul offers a range of certified organic grass-fed tallow-based skincare products for those seeking to naturally nourish their skin with simple, clean, and effective solutions.
WHY DRY RENDER SUET?
At Authentic Body And Soul, we opt for unrefined tallow as it preserves the beneficial properties for the skin. Dry rendering involves no addition of water or salt to the fat during the rendering process. Adding salt to tallow fat can lead to oxidative changes when exposed to heat, and it can also break down the beta carotene (Vitamin A) present in the tallow. Water exposes the tallow to mold.

The process of rendering tallow in-house allows us to closely monitor the quality at every stage, ensuring that only the highest standards are met.
By sourcing suet directly from the farm, we establish a direct connection with the source, guaranteeing authenticity and quality assurance.

PREPARATION TIMES FOR YOUR ORDER:
It takes 1-2 Business Days for us to prepare your order.
On average we do ship out within 24 hours.
We only prepare it after you placed your order.
For USA and international orders, please provide your phone number when you place your order. The shipping carrier requires the phone number just in case they need to contact you about your package, and to avoid delays.

International - Within 5-20 business days
On average, you generally get your package sooner during normal times but sometimes we have no control over unpredictable events in society.

No, at this time, we do not offer local pickup as an option of delivery.

We start preparation of orders rapidly in order to meet our timely commitment, and as such, we may not get your message on time to stop shipment. If possible, we will gladly cancel your order.

HOW TO USE AND STORE MY PRODUCTS?
PLEASE READ:
All of our products are for external use only.
Always do a patch test and wait 24 hours before full use. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or nursing (breastfeeding), or with any medical questions. Please check ingredients for any sensitivities. We are not responsible for allergies or adverse reactions to this product.
NATURAL PRODUCTS AND TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATIONS
Please note that our products can be vulnerable to temperature fluctuations because they are natural and do not contain stabilizers or preservatives. The product can melt during hot temperature and/or freeze during cold temperature.
If your item is cold upon arrival, simply let it sit at room temperature for it to return to normal. If your item is melted, just pop it in the fridge for several minutes for it to return to a firm state. It will not be fluffy as when it left our lab. The texture may be altered, but the product is still effective.
Storage
Please store your skincare products in a cool place because tallow can melt during hot temperature. If this happens, not to worry, just place it in the fridge or a cool place to let the tallow firm up and then whip it until its fluffy.

CANADIAN REGULATIONS ON CERTIFIED CLAIMS
A challenge arises when brands claim to be certified organic without listing their certifying body, as mandated by Canadian legislation. This omission not only undermines consumer trust but also skirts the legal requirements designed to maintain the integrity of organic products.
Vigilance and due diligence is required on the part of the consumer. Be aware that only a sliver (1.6%) of cattle farms are certified 100% grass-fed and organic which means only grass, never grains, barley or soy. Yet every tallow business claims to be 100% fully grass-fed. Impossible? Yes, do the math.
Excerpt from Canadian Regulations:
" "Certified organic" and other similar claims are not acceptable and are considered misleading if they are used without being in connection to the name of the certification body, as it implies that products without this claim are not certified."
